THE GAME... Sparks uses West End Games' 2nd Edition Star Wars rules. Each player begins with choosing a template. The following templates are currently available: Outlaw, Gambler, Brash Pilot, Smuggler, Minor Jedi, Wookie First Mate, Bounty Hunter, Failed Jedi, Alien Student of the Force, Laconic Scout. Character 's then have 7 dice which they can spread out over any nunmber of available skills. No skill may have more than 2 dice added to it. Rules for specialty skills are in use. Refer to the rule book for more information. Sparks takes place during Palpatine's rise to power and the Jedi extermination. Therefore, all Jedi characters must remain ever vigilant if they are to survive. Displaying Jedi skills to the wrong people can quickly earn a character not only a squadron of stormtroopers seeking them out but also the attention of Dark Jedi secretly following Palpatine's bidding. ALL roles over 40 when attempting to use a Force power must be reported to the Judge. A role over 40 means the character has exerted enough will over the Force that it can be detected even by distant Dark Jedi or even by Palpatine himself. |
