THE STORY SO FAR...

For thousands of years the Republic has kept the galaxy in peace. Now, however, dark rumors have begun to surface - corruption in the Senate, abandonment of the Jedi, outlaws from the Outer Rim encroaching into Republic space. From this descending chaos one man has emerged, Senator Palpatine of Naboo, who promises to rebuild the Republic into something more mighty than it has ever been before.

There are still darker rumors, rumors of which few are willing to even speak. They were vague at first, whispers of why the exploration projects have been abandoned one by one. Others were far more ominous. Suspicion of just where exactly the disappearing Jedi must be going. Attention upon the steady build up of military power, scattered across the galaxy almost as if they wished for their numbers to not attract attention.

And then the breakaway senators - Mon Mothma and others, secretly seeking out support because they no longer are allowed to do so publicly.

Because publicly supporting these senators is tantamount to Rebellion.

One of these supporters is Lans Garner, who seeks out further support under the guise of business ventures. And those he as recruited so far are an interesting lot indeed - smugglers, gamblers, outlaws, bounty hunters, many simply finding Garner's cause to be more profitable than the steadily increasing taxes and controls Palpatine in enacting. Some have more noble goals - they have joined the Rebellion in outright defiance of Palpatine's new order. It's even been said that there are Jedi among Garner's people, seeking shelter from this invisible persecution that is silently yet steadily devouring their order.

The galaxy is at a crossroad. The very existence of the Republic hangs in the balance.
